One of the most important parts of a landscaping project is an effective design. We will meet with you on site and discuss your ideas and add some of our own. We know what works well in the mountain environment and plan accordingly, we take into account all aspects of your property when designing. Nothing from the front door to your water faucet locations will be overlooked!
Landscaping is the first impression people get of your home, but the last thing people plan when building or remodeling a home. Landscaping is the frosting on the cake, the lace on the dress, and the whip cream on the sundae. As a landscape designer my preference is to get involve as early as I possibly can. I can make suggestions and give ideas in the beginning of the project that will allow for a more artistic finished product.
Economically, soils can be moved where they are needed the first time instead of being moved over and over. Also, sidewalks can be designed with an artistic flare instead of being the shortest, hard surface between two points. Patios can be designed for an outdoor living experience to enjoy, and not just a 10x10 surface slapped against the back door. Decks can be designed to keep open views from major windows to the backyard as opposed to being a resting place for a couple patio chairs and an outdoor grill.
The earlier we get involved, the greater the opportunity to consider more landscaping ideas. We can be more creative if we can design the sidewalk, decking, and patio with the landscape, rather than just landscaping around those areas.
Our Designers take pride in their work. We inspect every yard for soil types, screening needs, traffic flow, shade, color and plantings. We want to hear what your thoughts, needs, and desires are for your home. In doing so, we often make suggestions and comments to broaden the different look possible for your project. All done to accomplish the final look you, our client desires.
Budget is an important consideration in every project. Artistic design is the most important part of a project, even working with a budget. We may suggest a feature you didn't think of and would prefer economizing certain things in another area for the best overall look. Either way the final goal of every project is to give the client a low maintenance and a unique area to enjoy their outdoor spaces.
After your consultation we will draw up a proposal with different phases of the landscape design. This will help you break down the costs for each area of the landscape and you can decide if you want some or all done. Often times we will do simple drawings to help you visualize your project. In some projects we may have a Landscape Architect design and draw your landscape onto your house plan and draw it scale. We will work with your HOA to address any of their concerns as well.
